Prompt:
LAB - post KH3:
Ienzo's got lots of work to do after the almost end of everything. Like conferring with the HB Restoration Committee to fix up Radiant Garden after its ruin. Or trying to make sense of the trail of the (less than humane) reports of the guy who brought about said ruin. Also making tea for the master and fellow apprentices, can't forget that.
-> He'd probably like some conversation / company while he works. Maybe give him a buzz? Phone or in person.
(AN: pick a setting and go for it/ have fun haha)

Date: 2019-04-12 04:18 pm (UTC)He didn't belong with them, especially with the words Xemnas spoke still gnawing at him from the inside out.
He couldn't exactly talk to Vexen - or Even - about it either, despite the older man being partially responsible for his presence in Radiant Garden.
The others were here too, but it wasn't the same as it had been back during the days of the first Organization. 'Xaldin' and 'Lexaeus' may as well be strangers with how friendly they seemed, not to mention they both seemed preoccupied with guard duty. Even was out, and Demyx barely knew the old man - Ansem, he thinks - to hang around him. Leaving the castle by himself also seemed risky what with his last encounter with the Restoration Committee and the fact that he was still a Nobody, so that left one person;
Ienzo.
Finding him was harder than he thought and when he finally does spot him in the library, Demyx mentally kicks himself. Of course he should've looked here. He spent all that time poking his head into the labs, the kitchen, and even the computer room he stumbled upon when he made his little 'delivery' when the most obvious location was right there.
For a long moment Demyx stares into the room, unsure and almost afraid of what to say. There was so much on his mind lately that it's been slowly driving him up the wall, but he doesn't know how to deal with... any of it. After another minute, he straightens his back, forces a cautious smile, and raps on the open door with a gloved hand.
"Knock knock! I've been looking everywhere for you, man."
(ill get icons one day lmfao)
Date: 2019-04-13 11:48 am (UTC)He hadn't really stopped to think about much of anything outside of what needed doing in the here and now for the past few weeks. But that was fine, he liked to be busy. Liked to keep his mind occupied. Lest it twist around and start pondering certain mistakes he'd made that were still fresh on his heels.
The early afternoon found the youngest apprentice trying to sort through the oldest wing of the library. Technically today was supposed to be his day off, at the insistence of Ansem the Wise. But Ienzo had seen the stacks of books in the wing, disorganized or outright missing in the wake of...well, everything, and promptly felt a sense of urgency and sadness at the sight.
Fixing the mess up was a good use of free time, especially since his old master had returned home. Ienzo could try and put a little towards earning forgiveness by fixing up his treasured collection of books. Even though his teacher had spoken tones of peace upon being reunited with them all.
His mind stalled at the memory of how Ansem had offered him kindness in spite of the sheer abject failure he'd been subjected to on Ienzo's part... Giving his head a light toss to shift some of his fringe aside, Ienzo hefted a stack of books he'd organised into his arms on autopilot, turning to carry them to a nearby shelf.
He ends up starting at the knock and accompanying voice, casting a quick glance to the door and seeing a familiar face. He relaxes, offering a quick smile.
"Demyx," he says "You seem to be making a habit of surprising me," he pauses a moment, tilting his head. "Have you really?" he asks, amused lilt in his voice.

It's like he told Vexen - he's not a scientist by any means, nor would he know where to start even if he wanted to be one.
After a moment he snorts, the corner of his mouth quirking up the way it always did just before he'd make a bad joke before he continues; "You could say I'm a fish out of water."

Date: 2019-04-26 06:50 am (UTC)Ienzo recalls (Zexion) having felt the memories of irritation and exasperation at the sight of Demyx being so languid. Now though he feels a simple bubble of amusement in his chest. Was it odd to find comfort in that? he wonders.
"If you're that bored you could help me organize these books," he casts a quick glance over his shoulder with a light smile "Don't worry, I won't make you read any of them,"
Ienzo finishes dumping the mass of books onto his chosen shelf, turning to face Demyx properly. His comments about feeling out of place are reasonable, completely so. And they're enough to prompt Ienzo's concern...though he wonders if they're close enough for him to ask about it.
"A fish?" he offers lightly, attempting to test the waters "Not a chicken?"
